Impacts:
2020

We are Called to Serve.

Our 2020 Journey:
A Year of Action

The year 2020 presented unprecedented challenges, but it also highlighted the power of coming together to support one another. At Noble Humanitarian Missions (NHM), we responded to a new landscape of need with swift action and unwavering commitment. We continued to grow our network, forge new partnerships, and launch vital programs, driven by our shared compassion to deliver on our promises to those who needed us most.

2020: From Community Action to Tangible Results

This year was defined by a series of strategic collaborations and community engagement that brought our network together and transformed fundraising efforts into measurable impact on the ground.

Our Action: Community Events &
Collaborations

Throughout 2020, Noble Humanitarian Missions (NHM) engaged in a series of events and strategic collaborations that brought our community together and laid the groundwork for our impactful work. These events were opportunities to build partnerships, connect with our supporters, and raise awareness for crucial causes.

FEBRUARY

The year began with a new and exciting partnership. We were proud to announce our collaboration with The Habesha Web. This partnership was an opportunity to extend our reach and connect with more individuals and businesses who share our mission of empowering local communities in Ethiopia. We were thrilled to be recognized by The Habesha Web for our “admirable work” and for being a force for social good in the community. This was a wonderful start to the year, and we look forward to a long and successful partnership.

APRIL

As the world grappled with the COVID-19 pandemic, NHM quickly mobilized to support communities facing new and difficult challenges. We launched a critical fundraising campaign to assist our long-time partner, Meseret Humanitarian Organization (MHO), which serves women, single mothers, and children. With social distancing orders preventing these women from working, they faced a daily struggle to feed their families. We issued a public call to action, asking for support to help MHO continue providing daily essentials to the community they serve. We are proud of our history as a supporter of MHO and were committed to standing by them during this crisis.

JUNE

Our COVID-19 relief efforts continued to gain momentum in June. Noble Humanitarian Missions and Meseret Humanitarian Organization came together to ask for further support to save more lives during the pandemic. We shared stories and videos to highlight the urgent needs and the direct impact that donations were having. Our message was clear: every amount, no matter how small, made a huge difference in the lives of those struggling to survive.

NOVEMBER

As the academic year approached, we shifted our focus to a new project: “Project One Pack.” In October, we partnered with MHO to launch this noble cause with a powerful belief: “No child should be left behind from attending school for lack of educational materials.” We invited our supporters to invest in the future of these children, with just $8 providing a full year’s supply of school materials for one child. This campaign became a symbol of our commitment to education and long-term empowerment.

The Results: Life-Changing Deliveries

The true measure of our work lies in the tangible results we achieve together. In 2020, the compassion and generosity of our supporters translated directly into powerful and measurable impacts on the ground. Despite the global challenges, we were able to provide crucial support and deliver essential supplies to those who needed them most.

FEBRUARY

We started the year with a significant delivery to our long-time partner, Mekedonia. In February, Noble Humanitarian Missions facilitated and delivered 720 cases of adult briefs along with five boxes of new clothing to the Mekedonia Home for the Elderly and Mentally Disabled in Addis Ababa. The briefs were funded by online donations from Mekedonia’s supporters across North America, as well as in-person donations from events. The new clothes were obtained through the generous connection of Artist Abby Lakew. This mission was a success thanks to our dedicated partners: Ethiopian Airlines, The Boeing Company, Medline Industries, Inc., ENG Transportation Inc., and Speedy Freight Carrier Inc.

APRIL

The urgent needs brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic prompted an immediate and impactful response. Thanks to the donations collected through our GoFundMe campaign, Noble Humanitarian Missions was able to transfer $3,500 (116,885.30 Birr) to Meseret Humanitarian Organization (MHO). This crucial funding allowed MHO to continue supporting over 800 women and single mothers, and more than 1,000 children with their daily essentials during this challenging time. This initial donation was a testament to how quickly our community can come together to make a real difference.
