Impacts:
2019

We are Called to Serve.

Our 2019 Journey: A Foundation of Generosity

At Noble Humanitarian Missions (NHM), we believe that every person, regardless of their background, has a meaningful role to play in supporting and improving the lives of others. In our 2019 journey, NHM is immensely proud of the impact we created together and profoundly grateful for the support that made it all possible.

2019: From Community Action to Tangible Results

This year was defined by a series of strategic collaborations and community engagement that brought our network together and transformed fundraising efforts into measurable impact on the ground.

Our Action: Community Events &
Collaborations

Throughout 2019, Noble Humanitarian Missions (NHM) engaged in a series of events and strategic collaborations that brought our community together and laid the groundwork for our impactful work. These events were opportunities to build partnerships, connect with our supporters, and raise awareness for crucial causes.

M A R C H

Our year began with a significant collaborative effort as we proudly supported the 1st Annual Mekedonia Fundraising Gala Dinner in Washington, D.C. Held on March 30, this event was a tremendous success, bringing together a passionate community committed to a single, critical goal: to provide a long-term supply of adult briefs for the nearly 400 bedridden residents at Mekedonia. The energy and generosity from everyone in attendance were truly inspiring, making this event a foundational moment for our work in the year.

M A Y

In May, we continued to strengthen our community ties by looking inward and building bridges with other organizations. NHM was honored to join a meeting with fellow Ethiopian non-profit leaders from the DFW area. The discussion centered on exploring how we could network and combine our efforts to achieve a greater collective impact. We extend our sincere thanks to Deacon Firew Seifu for including us in this vital and productive conversation.

JULY

In July, we took our mission on the road. We were thrilled to be on-site at the 2019 ESFNA event in Atlanta, where we volunteered and raised awareness for our partners, Mekedonia and Meseret Humanitarian Organization. Our team worked alongside them at their non-profit booths, sharing information about their vital work and encouraging attendees to support their causes. It was a powerful experience to see so many people come together and show their support for humanitarian efforts.

The Results: Life-Changing Deliveries

The true measure of our work lies in the tangible results we achieve together. In 2019, the dedication of our supporters and the power of partnership translated directly into life-changing impacts for the communities we serve. Each one of our events led to a measurable outcome, demonstrating the direct link between our fundraising efforts and the lives we helped improve.

APRIL

Following the tremendous success of the fundraising gala in March, the Mekedonia Support Group and other generous donors in the DMV area came together to collect a wide variety of supplies. These donations included essential items like adult diapers, canes, walkers, gloves, and other medical supplies. All of these items were carefully packed and sent to Addis Ababa, providing immediate and much-needed relief to the Mekedonia residents. This immediate response showcased the incredible efficiency and generosity of our network.

JUNE

Thanks to the tireless work of all the volunteers and the immense generosity of the community, we were able to deliver on our primary fundraising goal. On June 21, we successfully sent over 650 cases of adult briefs to Mekedonia, a direct result of the funds raised at our March gala. This massive shipment represented a significant step toward fulfilling our promise to provide a multi-year supply of these critical items.

SEPTEMBER

Our commitment to the Mekedonia residents came to a powerful and successful conclusion in September with the final delivery of the adult briefs. Noble Humanitarian Missions facilitated and delivered a total of 691 cases (over 55,000 adult briefs) to the Mekedonia Center in Addis. This project was a testament to the power of collaboration, and we extend our deepest gratitude to all the volunteers, supporters, and partners—including Ethiopian Airlines and The Boeing Company—who made this incredible impact possible.
